Programme profile

In this programme you will learn to design or improve products using technical insights, creativity and a feel for consumer behaviour. In this context, that means products that are functional and attractive. But there is more to it than that: you also have to be able to manufacture your design at a reasonable cost price, the product must be practical, and properly transportable. The Industrial Design course prepares you for all those aspects.

You will get a firm grip on the entire design process, from developing ideas to market introduction. You will gain fundamental knowledge at a scientific level that lets you navigate accurately between technical possibilities and market movements. This makes you an entrepreneurial designer.

The programme is characterised by its design-oriented, project-based content. You will work on real assignments from European markets. Together with your team, you will develop a prototype that you present to your client.
